In 2023, Casade faced the challenge of replacing their outdated system with Xtendis – a complex implementation that required specialist knowledge. For the testing activities, they brought in the professionals from Squerist (part of Sofius). Working as one team, we focused on a single goal, with everyone involved.
The Challenge
Every home and resident at Casade has a file with important documentation, such as repair reports and customer contacts. The old system was outdated, making a transition necessary. Ester Brok, document management advisor at Casade, realised that the necessary expertise for this migration was lacking internally:
“If ICT projects fail, it’s usually because you are trying to do something you don’t have enough experience with. We knew we had to hire expertise.”
The partnership with Squerist
Casade got in touch with Dave de Vos, a business analyst at Squerist (part of Sofius), who immediately won the team’s trust with his experience. Dave joined the project as a consultant and divided the project into three working groups: setup, integrations, and migration.
“Working as one team, we focused on a single goal, with everyone involved,” says Dave.
His approach ensured that Casade was not only guided but also empowered to grow independently. Ester: “Dave didn’t feel like a consultant, but like a colleague who led us through the process step by step.”
The Implementation
The transition to Xtendis was extensive and brought both technical and organisational challenges. Functional Administrator Siebe van den Hoven explains:
“You have to determine what the system needs to meet, set priorities, migrate nearly a million documents, and ensure proper integrations and testing. Dave always maintained an overview and told us in advance where the bottlenecks were.”
The Result
Xtendis has been successfully implemented, and Casade now manages the system largely independently. Ester and Siebe are unanimous in their assessment: “Dave brought us to a point where he is dispensable again. He taught us, and now we can stand on our own two feet.”
Dave also looks back on the project with pride: “Together, we ensured a successful implementation within time and budget. Casade has made enormous strides, and I am proud of that.”
